# 9404 Trombone

One of my relatives in California has a trombone that belonged to my great-grandfather, Asa Trew.  I believe it's probably the same one he played in a military band in the Philippines in 1898-99 during the Spanish-American war, though I can't tell from the band photos.  I expected a cheap old beat-up brass instrument, and was surprised to see the quality of it.  He would have bought it in San Francisco. 

I was trying to research the serial number to determine the approximate date of manufacture, and that's how I found your website.
